Advanced Software Engineer

About the role

Philips is looking for an Advanced Software Engineer to join its Suzhou team. You will work on high‑quality medical device software, ensuring reliability, performance and compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to set software quality goals and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop components that log and store performance data, usage metrics and error information for ongoing monitoring.
• Integrate third‑party libraries and ensure seamless interoperability with existing systems.
• Analyse and optimise application performance, resolving bottlenecks to meet benchmark targets.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor teammates and act as a technical coach for the domain.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 6‑10 years of professional software engineering experience in product development.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, with ability to work in an agile, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• C# and C++ programming languages.
• .NET framework, WPF and MVVM pattern.
• Object‑oriented analysis and design, algorithms and data structures.
• Socket and CAN communication protocols.
• Windows OS development, multi‑process concurrent programming.
• Agile development methodology.
• Understanding of IEC 62304 medical‑device software standards.
