Wine Sommelier – Beijing

About the role

The Grand Hyatt Beijing is seeking a passionate Wine Sommelier to lead its beverage program. You will shape the wine culture across the hotel, enhance guest experiences, and contribute to revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Drive beverage revenue through strategic wine and spirit selections.
• Develop and promote a comprehensive wine culture throughout the hotel.
• Select wines and spirits for all restaurants and bars, ensuring quality and variety.
• Coordinate wine dinners, tastings and other promotional events.
• Collaborate with culinary and service teams to integrate wine pairings.
• Manage inventory, ordering and cost control for the wine program.
• Train and mentor staff on wine knowledge and service standards.

Required profile

• WSET Level 3 diploma or equivalent wine qualification.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a sommelier or in retail/wholesale wine sales.
• Strong operational, administrative and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work in a luxury hotel environment and deliver exceptional guest service.
