About the role
The Vacation Consultant will represent Minor Vacation Club and guide prospective Points Owners through the club’s vacation ownership programme. You will create exceptional guest experiences, build lasting relationships and help clients choose the right vacation points solution for their needs.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets in an ethical and professional manner.
- Deliver accurate and engaging Club presentations, keeping all materials up‑to‑date.
- Participate actively in all presentations and training sessions.
- Prepare for daily appointments and follow AVC best practices when presenting to guests.
- Build rapport and trust with guests throughout the presentation process.
- Identify guests’ needs through strategic questioning and customise the presentation accordingly.
- Explain the features, advantages and benefits of becoming a Club Points Owner.
- Recommend the appropriate Points Ownership tier based on current and future vacation needs.
- Maintain a working understanding of financing options and answer ownership‑related questions (servicing, construction, maintenance, repairs, appraisals).
- Treat all guests with utmost respect to ensure high satisfaction.
- Represent the company ethically, protecting its reputation and brand.
- Support the company’s marketing strategies.
- Set and review performance goals on a weekly, monthly and YTD basis.
- Follow quality‑assurance and follow‑up procedures as defined by management.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a “one team” ethos.
- Demonstrate a full understanding of AVC’s culture and processes.
- Assist in mentoring and developing other Vacation Consultants as requested.
- Stay informed about current events and AVC destinations to enhance relationship building.
Required profile
- Proven ability to meet sales targets in a professional and honest manner.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to build trust and rapport with customers.
- Effective listening and questioning techniques to uncover guest needs.
- Knowledge of vacation ownership concepts and financing options.
