Senior Legal Operations Specialist

About the role

The Senior Legal Operations Specialist will be based in Shanghai at lululemon’s China Store Support Centre. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, this role combines legal operations with frontline legal support for Retail Operations and brick‑and‑mortar stores.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary legal contact for Retail Operations and stores, reviewing and monitoring retail contracts, maintaining templates, SOPs, checklists, and guidance.
• Respond to day‑to‑day legal enquiries, advise on guest complaints and disputes, and deliver practical legal training to store teams.
• Represent Legal in cross‑functional retail projects and group discussions.
• Lead licensing processes for new store openings, store optimization projects, and corporate updates, coordinating with landlords, external agencies, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain audit‑ready records of corporate licenses, filings, and create new entities or E‑stamps in internal systems.
• Manage the legal team’s budget tracking, accruals, forecasting, and oversee invoices, billing, payments, and reimbursements.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in legal operations, preferably within a retail or consumer‑goods environment.
• Proven ability to manage licensing, corporate governance, and compliance processes.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across legal, operations, and external partners.
• Experience handling budget tracking, forecasting, and vendor payment processes.
