Senior Automation Test Engineer

About the role

The Senior Automation Test Engineer will lead testing activities for KONE's projects, ensuring high‑quality solutions through performance, usability and security validation while driving automation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive testing activities across the project, ensuring verification and validation of performance, usability and security.
• Design, build and maintain automated test cases using Python and related tools, and analyse test results.
• Set up and maintain test environments and scripts, execute test cases and report results on schedule.
• Identify, track and coordinate resolution of bugs with KONE partners, suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
• Support software releases and project management, collaborating with development and R&D teams globally.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• More than 5 years of experience in software testing or development, with a strong focus on automation.
• Proven ability to write and maintain automation scripts in Python.
• Experience working in cross‑platform environments (Linux, Windows, Android) and networking contexts.

Required skills

• Python, Golang, Shell scripting, SQL.
• Linux, Windows, Android operating systems.
• Jenkins, VirtualBox, test automation frameworks for frontend, backend, IoT and test fixtures.
• Knowledge of open‑source testing tools and basic software testing methodologies.
