Operations Program Manager

About the role

The Operations Program Manager (OPM) is 3M’s primary operations leader for contract manufacturing partners in China, overseeing product launch readiness, factory execution, capacity planning and operational risk management. The role ensures timely product introductions, meets operational targets and maintains uninterrupted supply to customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead operational readiness for new product introductions, transfers and capacity expansions at contract manufacturing sites in China.
• Coordinate daily engagement with contract manufacturers to align production schedules, material availability and equipment readiness.
• Develop and maintain capacity plans, validate supplier capabilities and mitigate constraints.
• Drive cross‑functional workstreams across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement and Planning to ensure on‑time launches and uninterrupted supply.
• Serve as primary point of contact for risk management, issue escalation and executive‑level communication with suppliers.

Required profile

• Bilingual fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in operations program management, supply chain, manufacturing operations or related fields.
• Proven track record of leading NPI launches, manufacturing transfers or production ramp‑ups.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning and contract manufacturing environments.
• Excellent project, stakeholder and communication management skills.
