Learning & Development Partner

About the role

We are seeking a Learning & Development Partner to build and sustain the capabilities needed for Ocean Operations. The role will translate business strategy into capability requirements and embed them into daily work across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the learning and development strategy and capability roadmap aligned with Ocean Operations priorities.
• Identify capability gaps and design role‑based learning journeys, including programmes on MOS, VMS, problem solving, leadership and change management.
• Lead deployment of capability programmes across all APA and leadership levels.
• Embed capability into onboarding, performance management and daily work routines, and establish coaching and reinforcement mechanisms.
• Support onboarding and professional development across Ocean Operations.
• Accountable for the employee capability journey, including upskilling, coaching and continuous development.
• Measure capability adoption, behavioural change and business impact, and continuously improve programmes through feedback loops.
• Partner with operations leaders, People teams and subject‑matter experts to maintain capability frameworks, learning content and knowledge repositories.

Required profile

• Proven ability to translate business strategy into capability development plans and embed them into everyday operations.
• Strong influence skills with senior leaders to drive behavioural adoption and ownership of learning outcomes.
• Experience designing scalable L&D programmes, measuring their impact and establishing systems for sustained capability.
• Ability to measure learning effectiveness and demonstrate clear business impact.
• Solid project management and governance experience to oversee capability frameworks and deployment.
