About the role
Western Digital is seeking a Lab Technician 4 to support its data‑centric research and development labs. The role involves performing routine analytical tests, generating detailed reports, and collaborating with engineers on experimental projects. Candidates must be comfortable working in a shift environment and possess strong communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct daily laboratory tests using equipment such as AFM, SEM, EDX, FTIR, and Raman.
- Compile, analyze, and summarize experimental data into clear reports.
- Assist engineers with experiment setup, execution, and troubleshooting.
Required profile
- Associate degree with at least 3 years of laboratory experience, or a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
- Ability to work rotating shifts and demonstrate good teamwork and communication.
- Proficient English and computer skills.
Required skills
- Hands‑on experience with at least two of the following instruments: AFM, SEM, EDX, FTIR, Raman.
- Computer proficiency for data handling and report generation.
