Director of Marketing & Communication

About the role

The Director of Marketing & Communication will lead all marketing and communication activities for the Kempinski hotel in Chongqing, ensuring the brand is protected, awareness is increased, and revenue‑driving initiatives are executed successfully.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, agree and implement the hotel marketing plan together with the Director of Sales & Marketing.
• Design and launch promotions, packages and multi‑channel campaigns for rooms, F&B, spa and events.
• Conduct regular competition analysis and market trend monitoring to optimise positioning and ROI.
• Manage the marketing budget, forecast ROI for each activity and reallocate funds as needed.
• Oversee content creation for offline and online channels, ensuring up‑to‑date information on the intranet, website, GHA and social media.
• Coordinate photo‑shoots, advertising collateral and brand‑consistent communications.
• Act as brand guardian, protecting Kempinski’s visual and verbal identity.
• Support talent development initiatives, identify high‑potential team members and lead recruitment for the department.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading marketing and communication functions within the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of brand management, budget control and ROI measurement.
• Proven ability to develop and execute multi‑channel campaigns that drive revenue.
• Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and competitor activity.
• Leadership experience in talent development, coaching and team recruitment.
