Associate Director of Sales – MICE

About the role

The Associate Director of Sales – MICE will lead the sales function for meetings, incentives, conferences and events at Grand Hyatt Beijing. Reporting to senior hotel leadership, you will ensure the department operates efficiently, aligns with Hyatt corporate strategies, and meets the expectations of guests, owners and employees.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing sales strategies that drive revenue across all hotel departments.
• Collaborate closely with Rooms, Food & Beverage and other revenue‑generating teams to maximise cross‑selling opportunities.
• Lead, coach and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and maintain high service standards.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and client feedback to refine selling techniques.
• Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sales Manager in a luxury international hotel brand.
• Strong understanding of sales techniques and marketing approaches within the hospitality sector.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple hotel departments.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with hotel property management systems such as Fidelio, Delphi or RESERVE.
• Effective email communication skills.
