Senior Officer, Customer Service (Korean Speaker)

About the role

The Senior Officer, Customer Service will ensure seamless order fulfillment and high customer satisfaction for BASF's customers in China. The role combines end‑to‑end order management, compliance, and cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling order inquiries, shipment tracking and VAT posting.
• Manage daily order collection, validation, entry and delivery note creation while ensuring compliance with internal standards.
• Conduct material availability checks, issue advanced shipping notifications and communicate any deviations promptly.
• Resolve order blocks, credit issues and export restrictions in line with BASF guidelines.
• Process returns, support credit/debit note issuance and maintain accurate financial adjustments.
• Oversee third‑party warehouse inventory, monitor aged stock and support cost‑optimisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with Planning, Sales, Engineering, Export & Customs teams to streamline processes.
• Drive continuous improvement, including automation projects, to enhance order management efficiency.

Required profile

• University degree in international trade, logistics, supply chain or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Fluent Korean and English (both oral and written).
• Strong knowledge of general order processing and international trading.

Required skills

• Korean language proficiency (oral and written).

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proficiency with SAP SD module.
