Senior Business Tax Consultant

About the role

Deloitte China's Business Tax practice is seeking a Senior Consultant to join its Hangzhou team. You will work closely with senior leaders to deliver tax compliance, planning and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical tax knowledge to support client compliance and reporting projects.
• Draft reports, identify key risks, and propose practical tax planning and implementation solutions.
• Prepare recommendations on tax administration, appeals processes, and respond to tax authority inquiries.
• Guide the full project lifecycle, from data collection and analysis to delivery of strategic tax advice.
• Communicate how technology can improve tax operations and ensure appropriate tools are used on engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in tax, accounting, finance, law or related fields.
• Professional accounting qualification, PRC‑registered tax agent or lawyer credential.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax functions within Big 4 firms, law firms, tax authorities or large corporations.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of local tax legislation and international tax developments.
• Strong analytical abilities and commitment to high‑quality delivery.
