Senior Business Tax Consultant – Chengdu

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Business Tax Consultant to join our Chengdu office. You will work closely with senior leadership to deliver high‑quality tax compliance, reporting and planning services for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical tax knowledge to support client compliance and reporting projects.
• Draft reports, identify key issues and risks, and propose practical solutions.
• Prepare recommendations on tax administration, appeals processes, and implementation strategies.
• Guide the full Business Tax project lifecycle, from data collection to analysis and recommendation.
• Research and respond to tax authority inquiries, leveraging an understanding of their procedures and structures.
• Stay current on domestic and international tax legislation and translate insights into client‑focused advice.
• Communicate how technology can enhance tax operations and ensure appropriate tools are used on engagements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in tax, accounting, finance, law or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification, PRC‑registered tax agent status, or lawyer registration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a tax function within a CPA firm (Big 4 preferred), law firm, tax authority or large corporation.
• Strong analytical ability, commitment to quality service, and up‑to‑date knowledge of tax legislation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
• Proven project‑management, teamwork and client‑consultation capabilities.
