About the role
Formlabs is seeking a Process Engineer to manage early‑stage cost analysis, provide manufacturing process recommendations for part designs, and support the sourcing and operations teams. The role involves handling prototypes, special samples, and maintaining manufacturing knowledge within the team.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct cost analysis, evaluate and predict manufacturing expenses.
- Provide process suggestions for part designs and produce analysis documentation.
- Collaborate with Sourcing and Operations teams to quote part costs for engineers.
- Manage prototypes and special samples for the R&D team.
- Maintain BOM and drawing management.
- Organize manufacturing knowledge in team documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
- Minimum two years of design or process engineering experience.
- At least three years of sourcing or purchasing experience.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, bending, stamping, or machining.
