PR Manager

About the role

The PR Manager will lead public relations and communications for Mandarin Oriental Hangzhou, shaping the hotel’s brand narrative across media, influencer, and partnership channels. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will drive storytelling, manage agency relationships, and ensure a consistent tone of voice in all external communications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an integrated PR and communications strategy aligned with business objectives and brand positioning.
• Build and maintain relationships with media, influencers, and key opinion leaders; manage media inquiries, press trips, interviews, and PR shoots.
• Lead community outreach, CSR initiatives, and represent the hotel at industry events and social functions.
• Create high‑quality PR content such as press releases, kits, bios, and invitations, ensuring consistent messaging.
• Monitor, analyse, and report on PR performance, providing insights for future campaigns.
• Manage PR agencies and coordinate corporate communications, while supporting and developing team members.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in public relations or communications.
• Excellent problem‑solving and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure, set priorities and adapt to changing conditions.
• Highly self‑motivated, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
• Fluency in English and Mandarin.
