Power Electronic Hardware Engineer – DC/AC Inverter Development

About the role

We are looking for a Power Electronic Hardware Engineer to join our R&D team in Wuxi. The role focuses on the design, development and testing of DC/AC converters and inverters for fuel‑cell and electric‑vehicle applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design hardware for DC/AC converters and inverters used in fuel‑cell and electric‑vehicle systems.
• Perform feasibility analysis of internal and customer requirements.
• Create schematic designs and run simulations for control boards, driving circuits and IGBT modules.
• Coordinate PCB layout design, review layouts and integrate products with partners.
• Conduct laboratory measurements, performance and endurance testing.
• Execute EMC testing, analyse results and propose improvements.
• Develop safety designs in accordance with relevant norms.
• Collaborate on problem‑solving for electronic components and PCB issues, driving quality improvements.
• Suggest innovative circuit designs and cost‑reduction strategies.
• Support project leaders with resource, budget and schedule planning for hardware sub‑projects.
• Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding hardware specifications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Instrumentation or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of electrical/e‑electronic architecture and control software design.
• Familiarity with legislation and standards for fuel‑cell engines and related components.
• Self‑motivated with excellent communication skills and a team‑oriented attitude.
• Proficient in written and spoken English.
