IT Contractor – Microsoft & Mobile Support

About the role

This contract position provides first‑level IT support for Microsoft technologies and corporate mobile devices in Shanghai. You will ensure the stability of workstations used for regulatory reporting and deliver high‑quality service to end users.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support for Windows OS, Office 365 (including Teams) and other Microsoft applications.
• Set up and support corporate iOS mobile devices.
• Own support and maintenance of non‑corporate workstations used for local regulatory reporting, financial and tax filing, and market data.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain computer systems and applications.
• Manage support tickets via ServiceNow, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Execute off‑hours configuration changes, support new releases and cyber‑control implementations.
• Perform routine maintenance, vulnerability scanning, patching and system hardening in line with cyber‑security policies.
• Support network connectivity issues and escalate complex problems as needed.
• Assist with user account management, password resets and access permissions.
• Participate in IT projects and APAC‑wide initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems or related field.
• 8‑10 years of IT production or infrastructure support experience, preferably in a foreign bank.
• Hands‑on expertise with Microsoft Windows platform and Office suite.
• Strong knowledge of networking, telecommunication and Cisco devices (certification a plus).
• Experience with dealing‑room turret setup, VOIP phones and video‑conference systems.
• Detail‑oriented, quick learner with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work under pressure.
• Fluent in spoken and written English and Chinese.
