Head of Finance – Greater China

About the role

Kennametal is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee all financial planning, reporting and compliance for its Greater China operations, covering mainland China, Hong Kong and other entities. The role partners directly with the regional leadership team to drive strategic initiatives and ensure robust financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the quarterly and annual financial planning process for seven legal entities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Develop and maintain automated reporting solutions using CRM, Tableau and Power BI to monitor performance.
• Supervise legal and statutory compliance, guaranteeing adherence to US GAAP and local regulations.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and treasury activities to optimize liquidity.
• Support sales operations through contract management, pipeline analysis and design of incentive plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Business or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of finance/audit experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Strong influencing and communication abilities.
• Big 4 experience is a plus.

Required skills
