Associate/Senior Audit Services – Financial Industry – Guangzhou/Shenzhen

About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Associate or Senior professional to join its Financial Services Audit & Assurance team in Guangzhou/Shenzhen. You will work on external audit engagements for leading banks, insurers, investment managers and other financial institutions across Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Key responsibilities

• Assume overall control of small to medium‑sized audit assignments.
• Lead audit engagements and, when required, handle accounting and taxation components.
• Build trust with stakeholders while maintaining independence and understanding service expectations.
• Deliver high‑quality audit services, applying regulatory and risk‑management insights.
• Choose appropriate tools, guidance and methodology independently.
• Proactively assess risks, contribute to risk discussions and integrate audit analytics and visualisations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in any discipline, preferably accounting or related.
• 2‑5 years of audit experience in a CPA firm, preferably a Big 4.
• Professional certification such as CICPA or HKICPA is desirable; other accounting qualifications considered.
• Prior exposure to Hong Kong financial services and knowledge of IFRS and/or HK GAAP; US GAAP knowledge is a plus.
• Accreditation as a Green & Sustainable Finance professional recognised by Deloitte is a plus.
• Strong initiative, teamwork orientation and excellent interpersonal communication.
• Fluent in English and Chinese (Putonghua and Cantonese) for both technical and business writing.
