Associate / Senior Consultant – Core Business Tax (Japanese or French)

About the role

Deloitte China is seeking motivated professionals to join its Core Business Tax practice. The role involves supporting clients with tax compliance, planning and advisory services while leveraging technology to deliver strategic value.

Key responsibilities

• Apply technical tax knowledge to client compliance and reporting projects.
• Draft reports, identify key issues and risks, and propose practical solutions.
• Prepare tax planning and implementation recommendations and support appeals processes.
• Research tax authority procedures and draft responses to tax inquiries.
• Collect and analyse data to develop informed recommendations for clients.
• Communicate how technology can enhance tax operations and ensure appropriate tools are used on projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Japanese, tax, accounting, finance, law or related fields.
• 0‑5 years of experience in a tax function (Big 4, law firm, tax authority or large corporation preferred).
• Strong analytical ability and commitment to high‑quality client service.
• Excellent consultation, communication and teamwork skills; able to work under pressure.
• Mature, proactive, motivated and willing to take initiative.
