About the role
Based in the Food & Beverage Division of Mandarin Oriental Shenzhen, the Wok 2 supports the kitchen team in delivering high‑quality, hygienic dishes. Reporting to the Wok 1 Supervisor, you will help run the assigned kitchen efficiently while upholding the hotel’s standards of excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with other Chef de Partie and section leaders to coordinate inter‑departmental requirements.
- Provide firm, constructive feedback to sub‑ordinates and correct any deviations, mistakes or inappropriate behaviour.
- Inspect refrigerated and non‑refrigerated storage areas, ensuring proper stock rotation and immediate reporting of out‑of‑stock items.
- Perform any reasonable duties assigned by the department head.
- Handle customer comments and complaints, taking swift corrective action in consultation with the Sous Chef.
Required profile
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in a similar kitchen role.
- Proven leadership abilities with a growth‑mindset.
- Strong team player with good communication skills.
