VDI Administrator – Citrix (Desktop Virtualization)

About the role

The VDI Administrator will lead the design, deployment and support of Citrix‑based desktop virtualization across the client’s group, with a focus on the Windows 11 migration program. The role combines hands‑on technical work with team leadership and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Administer VDI environments, including provisioning, migration and user support for the Windows 11 rollout.
• Deploy, troubleshoot and develop automation scripts to streamline the Windows 11 migration process.
• Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure components that support the desktop virtualization service.
• Forecast talent needs, hire and train team members, and ensure compliance with onboarding standards.
• Set performance goals, conduct reviews, and drive employee engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in desktop virtualization, with strong Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop/NetScaler administration.
• Solid knowledge of VMware hypervisor, vCenter, Windows Server 2016/2019, TCP/IP networking and VPN gateways.
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Jenkins for automation.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows/Office suites, browsers, Java, security tools, identity and access management, Active Directory and MECM.
• Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and tools.
• Excellent communication, ability to work under pressure and across multicultural teams.
