TPS Engineer III – Etch & Process Support

About the role

The TPS Engineer III provides advanced technical support for etch and related process modules, ensuring optimal performance and reliability for customer equipment in the semiconductor and display manufacturing sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all technical support aspects for assigned customers, including escalations, fleet performance, system installations, improvement programs and upgrades.
• Act as the field escalation focal point, delivering technical support and documentation to engineers, technicians and product support personnel.
• Provide Alpha Site support for new hardware, process or software installations, calibrations, services and testing in‑house or on engineering tools.
• Deliver Beta Site support for new hardware, software or process implementations on customer tools.
• Review Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to ensure data integrity and communicate fixes to the field.
• Generate and present system performance metrics such as MTBF, MTBI, availability, and conduct process data and spending analysis.
• Create and review documentation for technical improvements, system upgrades and support plans, and ensure field implementation.

Required profile

• Demonstrates deep conceptual and practical expertise in semiconductor process equipment and basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Understands best practices, market competition and how the role integrates with other functions.
• Leads small projects, mentors less‑experienced colleagues and drives consensus on technical solutions.
• Solves complex problems by analyzing multiple information sources and impacts customer and project outcomes.
