Technical Project/Program Manager – AI, AR & Waveguide NPI

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project/Program Manager to lead AI, AR and Waveguide New Product Introduction projects in Shanghai. You will drive projects from conception through implementation, coordinating resources and ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare project plans and manage the full project lifecycle, from strategy development to execution.
• Utilize project management tools, reports, tracking charts, checklists and scheduling software to monitor progress.
• Coordinate allocated resources across the division to meet performance objectives.
• Initiate and manage purchase requisitions and orders, driving cost‑schedule performance for internal and external customers.
• Participate in multifunctional design teams, providing technical input to achieve project goals.
• Interface with division stakeholders to define objectives, provide status updates and prepare for release.

Required profile

• Demonstrated depth of expertise in a specialized technical discipline.
• Ability to interpret business challenges and recommend best practices.
• Leadership experience managing functional teams or moderate‑complexity projects.
• Strong problem‑solving skills, using analytical judgment to devise innovative solutions.
• Effective communication skills for conveying complex concepts and negotiating viewpoints.
