Supply Chain Director

About the role

The Supply Chain Director leads a large planning team at the business‑group level, aligning sales forecasts with operational plans to maximise resource utilisation, improve customer service and drive overall business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute strategic supply‑chain direction, analysing market trends and operational capabilities.
• Oversee budgeting for the supply‑chain function, ensuring accurate expense forecasts and resource allocation.
• Manage product‑lifecycle processes, including master data replenishment, packaging instructions and shelf‑life data.
• Coordinate demand and supply planning globally to maintain optimal product availability and meet stock‑level targets.
• Identify emerging trends and untapped opportunities to sustain growth and competitive advantage.
• Develop long‑term planning policies, road‑maps and improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
• Lead talent management within the planning department, covering recruitment, performance, compensation and career development.
• Champion supply‑chain planning principles across the organisation to enhance decision‑making and performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Economics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Research or a related field.
• Extensive experience leading large supply‑chain planning teams at a business‑group level.
• Proven ability to formulate strategic direction, manage budgets and drive operational excellence.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, operational capabilities and performance data.
• Experience in product‑lifecycle management, demand‑supply coordination and talent development.
