Strategic Account Manager – Mining Electrification

About the role

ABB is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to develop and manage relationships with EPCs, engineering institutes, OEMs and other key customers in the Chinese mining sector. The role focuses on mining electrification and automation solutions, helping customers modernise their operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with customer management, technical, project and procurement teams.
• Organise visits, commercial meetings and technical discussions to understand customer needs and project plans.
• Track domestic and international mining projects, identify business opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Support tender preparation, commercial communication and opportunity conversion for key accounts.
• Develop and execute customer development plans in coordination with ABB sales, technology, project execution and service teams.
• Promote cross‑functional collaboration to deliver competitive technical and tender solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in strategic account management within the mining, EPC or OEM sectors.
• Strong understanding of Chinese mining EPC procurement processes and project operation models.
• Ability to work closely with multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
