Sourcing Engineer – Direct & Indirect Purchasing

Every day we get opportunities to make a positive impact on colleagues, partners, customers and society. As a Sourcing Engineer you will be responsible for direct and indirect purchasing activities, ensuring compliance, supplier quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the factory handshake process and follow up implementation to secure supplier quality, delivery, cost and sustainability.
• Drive projects to improve supplier sustainability, quality, delivery and cost, and achieve cost reduction targets through negotiation or bidding.
• Work with suppliers to optimize design, reduce price and shorten lead time, and ensure material availability for special customer requirements.
• Conduct purchasing activities and order handling for indirect purchases, including supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation and cost analysis.
• Manage contracts from initiation to filing, maintain transparent purchasing initiatives, and seek cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering.
• At least 5 years of purchasing experience and 3 years of purchasing management experience in multinational companies, preferably with mechanical design and manufacturing expertise.
• Experience in change management, project management and Six Sigma.
• Strong PC skills (Windows, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Independent, teamwork‑oriented, hard‑working, self‑disciplined and proactive attitude.
