Social Media and Communications Associate

About the role

The Social Media and Communications Associate will join Avenues Shenzhen’s MAC (Marketing, Communications and Admissions) team to ensure smooth, high‑quality communication across the school. Working in a fast‑paced bilingual environment, the associate will manage social‑media channels, support internal publishing workflows, and help translate and adapt content for both English‑ and Chinese‑speaking audiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and create educational content for the school’s social‑media platforms, including the WeChat official account and Xiaohongshu, showcasing programs and market insights.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of social‑media channels and execute comprehensive social‑media marketing strategies.
• Support publishing workflows for division bulletins, Head of School letters, school‑wide communications, events, and parent programs.
• Coordinate with the Head of MAC to execute the communications calendar and related projects.
• Review, proofread, and ensure consistency and quality of content across all channels.
• Adapt and translate materials between Chinese and English, ensuring cultural relevance.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Strong editorial eye for detail, with the ability to proofread and maintain brand voice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and external partners.
