Site Technical Manager, Global Manufacturing & Operations

About the role

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a highly motivated Site Technical Manager to lead technical and operational excellence for consumer‑electronics manufacturing at contract manufacturing sites. You will own technical readiness for product ramps, drive test flow optimization, and ensure quality and delivery targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure technical readiness for product validation (PVT) and mass production.
• Drive manufacturing test flow optimization, process and yield improvements.
• Define and manage manufacturing process qualification criteria and documentation.
• Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing process issues.
• Participate in design and planning activities, including DFM, line balancing, and cost modeling.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers’ engineering teams to enforce DFM/DFT principles.
• Review and approve fixture designs, qualification, and manufacturing test coverage documents.
• Work with sustaining engineering to improve products and own technical readiness of PRQ.
• Periodically audit contract manufacturers for process quality management compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing and process engineering for consumer electronics.
• Proven experience in root‑cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presenting complex data.
