Senior Supplier Quality Manager – Electromechanical

About the role

Amazon Devices is expanding its electro‑mechanical supply chain in China and seeks a senior professional to own end‑to‑end quality for robot‑related commodities. The role covers actuators, connectors, mechanical parts, batteries and electronics across a diverse supplier base in Mainland China, Taiwan and Southeast Asia.

Key responsibilities

• Lead new supplier qualification audits and on‑site capability assessments for CNC machining, injection molding, vacuum casting, 3D printing, PCBA, cables, batteries and actuators.
• Drive PPAP management, validate process capability (Cpk/Ppk), signal integrity and reliability testing, and own all quality gates before volume ramp.
• Define and maintain the supplier quality framework, inspection standards, FAI requirements, SPC control plans and non‑conformance procedures.
• Investigate supplier non‑conformances, lead root‑cause analysis (8D, 5‑Why), manage containment actions and coordinate rapid response to line‑down events or field issues.
• Collaborate with IQC, hardware R&D, sourcing, reliability and other cross‑functional teams to align design, process and inspection methods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience in supplier quality management for electromechanical components, preferably in a high‑volume consumer‑electronics environment.
• Proven track record of leading NPI, PPAP and supplier audits across multiple Asian regions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive corrective actions and manage change (ECN/PCN) impacts.
