Senior Software Engineer

About the role

Duolingo’s Monetization Pillar builds premium experiences through subscriptions, ads, and in‑app purchases. As a Senior Android Engineer you will shape the strategic direction of the product by delivering high‑impact features and improving the efficiency of monetization.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with product, design, data science, machine‑learning and ad‑operations teams on cross‑functional software projects.
• Develop, release, and maintain native Android application features using Kotlin.
• Mentor junior engineers and set technical direction for the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Professional experience developing Android applications in Kotlin.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical issues to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
