Senior Quality Manager, Automotive BU

About the role

Johnsonelectric is looking for a Senior Quality Manager for its Automotive Business Unit. The role is based in Jiangmen, China, with the possibility of offering Hong Kong employment, and focuses on delivering defect-free products and services to IC and NEV original vehicle manufacturers across Asia, Europe and the Americas. The position suits someone with strong experience in manufacturing quality assurance and customer quality support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the plant quality team for daily shop-floor quality assurance.
• Lead daily quality performance indicator reviews and resolve issues through fast response actions.
• Manage non-conformance containment and corrective actions (CAR, NCMR).
• Lead problem identification, priority setting and 5W2H action plans.
• Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5-Why and quality tools.
• Conduct LPA audits against standards with cross-functional team members.
• Lead the development, optimisation and audit of process control plans.
• Facilitate continuous improvement to reduce potential defects.
• Participate in new product introduction, including APQP and safe launch release.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with more than 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong practical experience and knowledge of manufacturing systems and process technologies.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Fluency in English and Chinese.

Required skills

• Advanced product quality planning (APQP) and quality tools: PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement tools: 8D, 5-Why, DOE, Six Sigma.
