Senior Project Manager – Digital Transformation

About the role
This position will drive strategic projects that support Lubricants China’s digital transformation and operational‑excellence agenda. You will lead medium‑to‑large initiatives of moderate‑to‑high complexity, delivering measurable business value through disciplined project management and effective stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute, monitor and close projects across sales‑marketing, supply‑chain and customer‑operation domains.
- Rigorously manage scope using structured change processes.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder engagement plans and ensure clear communication across regional and global teams.
- Create and validate financial forecasts, track resource utilisation and manage budgets exceeding $2 million.
- Identify, assess and mitigate risks proactively; escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure compliance with Shell Project Delivery Framework and governance standards.
- Lead internal teams and external vendors, mentor junior staff and take corrective action when performance deviates from expectations.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of project‑management experience in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments.
- Proven ability to manage teams of 10‑20 FTE and large budgets.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
- Experience leading virtual, inter‑dependent teams and global partnerships.
- PMI/PMP certification preferred.
- Excellent communication and influencing abilities within a matrix organisation.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and committed to Shell’s safety, ethics and inclusion principles.
