About the role
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a Senior Material Surface Technology Engineer to lead new engineering projects, ensure timely delivery, and drive continuous improvement of engineering processes.
Key responsibilities
- Lead new engineering projects and deliver on schedule.
- Plan, design, develop and implement engineering processes.
- Optimize and improve existing engineering processes.
- Lead validation activities for owned engineering processes.
- Calculate current capacity and forecast future capacity needs.
- Define equipment configuration, collaborate with purchasing, facilities, maintenance and quality, and complete equipment verification and work instructions before production hand‑over.
- Draft research plans, conduct research, analyze data and prepare reports.
- Calculate, record and report financial data for capital investment and cost‑saving projects.
- Incorporate lean concepts into special processes and ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environmental regulations.
- Conduct root‑cause analysis on non‑conformances and coordinate improvement plans.
