Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support to a fast‑growing retail organization. The role requires independent analysis of legal risks, coordination across multiple functions, and the delivery of practical solutions that align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct professional analysis and risk assessment for retail‑related projects, including marketing, PR, CRM, e‑commerce and backend operations.
• Negotiate and execute store lease agreements and support business‑development initiatives.
• Manage intellectual property matters and advise on personal data protection and cybersecurity issues.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, adapting strategies based on the company’s bargaining position.
• Develop and monitor compliance mechanisms, provide training, and continuously improve internal processes.
• Support HR with employee handbook updates, labor contracts, and dispute resolution.
• Prepare and update corporate legal documents such as board resolutions, articles of association, and authorization letters.
• Assist the Legal Director with ad‑hoc legal advice and oversee corporate seals and contract filing.

Required profile

• University law degree with bar admission; overseas study experience is a plus.
• 8+ years post‑qualification experience, ideally combining top law‑firm and in‑house roles within an international retail environment.
• Strong work ethic, high integrity, and ability to thrive under pressure.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
