Senior Internal Auditor

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor joins Sandvik’s Group Internal Audit (GIA) team to provide independent, objective assurance and advisory services. You will help improve the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute internal audit engagements end‑to‑end, including planning, fieldwork, evaluation, reporting and follow‑up.
• Perform risk assessments at the engagement level to focus audit scope on key risks and controls.
• Contribute to risk‑based audit planning, identify emerging risks, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure audit work complies with Global Internal Audit Standards, GIA Charter and internal directives.
• Deliver data‑analytics procedures, extract and clean data from ERP systems, and produce dashboards, KPI testing and exception reports.
• Coach junior auditors, promote GIA behavioural values and support continuous professional development.

Required profile

• Proven experience in internal audit, risk assessment and audit planning.
• Strong knowledge of global internal audit standards and methodology.
• Ability to analyse complex data, draw fact‑based conclusions and communicate findings clearly.
• Experience coaching or mentoring junior audit staff.
