Senior Associate, Institutional NFR China

About the role

ANZ is looking for a Senior Associate to join its Institutional Non‑Financial Risk (NFR) team in Shanghai. You will work closely with business leaders, risk and control functions to ensure non‑financial risks are identified, assessed and managed across the International Institutional business.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to provide risk insights and constructive challenge on key risk themes and control effectiveness.
• Support the application of the NFR framework through governance activities, risk assessments, monitoring, reporting and timely escalation of issues.
• Assist regulatory change initiatives, maintain regulator‑ready documentation and implement new regulatory requirements.
• Drive the delivery and embedding of the PACT program, tracking progress, promoting adoption of new processes and escalating risks as needed.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build risk capability, promote consistent risk practices and contribute to strong customer, regulatory and business outcomes.

Required profile

• Experience in non‑financial risk management within a banking or financial services environment.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and ability to support change initiatives.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with business, risk and control functions.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills to provide clear risk insights.
