Second Design Engineer

About the role

As a Second Design Engineer at Hitachi Energy you will act as the bridge between R&D and production, ensuring that technical documentation is accurately transferred to operational teams and that design issues are resolved efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Review R&D technical documents and release them to operation functions.
• Identify and solve technical problems on the production line.
• Provide feedback on product design issues to R&D and coordinate solutions.
• Lead internal design issue resolution and conduct weekly web meetings with global R&D teams in English.
• Prepare and review standard technical specifications and statements.
• Ensure compliance with external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical systems, insulation, high‑voltage apparatus, or mechanical‑electrical combination.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience using Pro/E (Creo).
• Knowledge of SAP.
