About the role
Under general supervision, you will provide and manage EHS support for lab and site operations, ensuring compliance with Applied Materials policies and applicable regulations. The role requires independent judgment, effective communication, and rapid ramp‑up in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day EHS support for lab and site operations, maintaining compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, procedures, and work practices to minimize risk to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
- Identify hazards, evaluate operational risks, and support the implementation of effective risk control measures.
- Lead or support EHS compliance evaluations and drive corrective actions to address gaps.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and oversee corrective actions.
- Prepare and communicate EHS status reports, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
- Support and administer EHS training programs to strengthen awareness and safe work practices.
- Provide EHS input during design reviews, new tool installations, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.
- Apply structured risk‑assessment methods such as FMEA, HAZOP, PHA, 8D, and RCA.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Safety Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field (preferred).
- China Registered Safety Engineer certification or equivalent (required).
- Solid knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, and company policies for lab and site operations.
- Strong understanding of hazard identification, incident investigation, corrective‑action processes, and compliance management.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and exercise sound professional judgment.
- Good English communication skills for cross‑site collaboration and technical discussions.
