Regional Product Manager - China

About the role

The Regional Product Manager will ensure the right product portfolio is available to meet margin targets and drive growth in the Chinese automotive market. The role focuses on localization, cost‑saving measures, and leading key coating projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic marketing initiatives for the Chinese automotive market, including market analysis, technology portfolio optimisation, and product launch coordination.
• Define and implement regional pricing policies, propose pricing actions, and ensure compliance with margin management rules.
• Develop and execute regional strategies for various coating layers, set milestones, and promote cross‑country collaboration.
• Support strategic RFQs and business growth initiatives in China.
• Collaborate with Customisation Lab, global/regional product management, technical project management, supply chain, and key account managers to improve profitability across all coating layers.
• Evaluate and implement localisation of raw materials and intermediates to generate cost savings and ensure sustainable supply.
• Define measures for complexity reduction, such as local sourcing, toll manufacturing, and technology consolidation.
• Work with labs and key accounts to introduce new products and technologies like Golden Gate or Low Bake.

Required profile

• A degree in Business Management or a related postgraduate field (Chemicals preferred).
• At least 5 years of experience in the automotive or chemicals sector, with leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial KPIs, P&L analysis, and business case development.
• Familiarity with coatings product formulations, OEM specifications, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Willingness to travel domestically across China.
