R&D Manager – Engineering Leadership

About the role

The R&D Manager will lead the engineering function of Liuzhou Product Company, turning product strategy into successful product development, launch, and ongoing support. Reporting to the General Manager, you will drive innovation, standardisation and profitable growth across the PT business area.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the company’s product strategy, overseeing new product introduction and technical support.
• Ensure sustainable, profitable growth by managing the engineering team and aligning it with business targets.
• Drive innovation, standardisation and rationalisation of product lines.
• Recruit, develop and lead a multi‑skilled engineering team, setting objectives and fostering collaboration across divisions.
• Champion engineering integration with APE & PTS divisions and the Power Technique Business Area.
• Create market‑leading, high‑value products while efficiently maintaining existing offerings.
• Support other departments on engineering‑related activities and contribute to overall company goals.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience with leadership responsibility, including new product development, operations and support.
• Strong technical knowledge of systemised products and their market applications.
• Proven experience managing design/project initiatives and cross‑functional teams.
• Understanding of supply‑chain and manufacturing systems.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, to specification, with strict quality and cost targets.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Business and commercial awareness to balance technical and commercial drivers.
• Excellent influencing, presentation and negotiation abilities.
