Quality Engineer

About the role

Formlabs is looking for a senior Quality Engineer to shape the quality system for new 3D printing hardware. You will work from the early NPI stages through product launch, ensuring the highest standards across design, manufacturing and supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Drive quality planning and execution for EVT and later stages, applying a customized APQP qualification process.
• Collaborate with engineering, product management and operations to develop and launch robust hardware products.
• Establish quality control processes with manufacturing partners and qualify sub‑tier suppliers.
• Lead data analysis, DOE, root‑cause investigations and corrective actions, including SCAR implementation.
• Build and continuously improve the quality management system from the ground up.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related field (overseas degree a plus).
• 8+ years of hardware quality engineering experience, preferably in consumer electronics, robotics or complex electromechanical systems.
• Strong statistical analysis and problem‑solving skills; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.
• Hands‑on, startup mindset with willingness to travel up to 40% (mainly Pearl River Delta).
• Excellent English communication skills.
