Purchasing Professional

About the role

The Purchasing Professional is responsible for managing purchase orders, planning material requirements, and ensuring timely execution of procurement plans. This role works closely with internal teams and external suppliers to secure materials and services needed for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Plan material requirements using the updated system and generate purchase orders.
• Execute procurement plans and follow up on orders with external suppliers.
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date purchase records.
• Collaborate on urgent material purchases and arrange transportation services within the city or to other locations.
• Track functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve procurement effectiveness.
• Interview sales representatives, research potential suppliers, and develop new sources of supply.
• Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for the company.

Required profile

• University degree (Bachelor’s) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Team player able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.
• Strong communication, organization, planning, and time‑management skills.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and personal accountability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills with all organizational levels, suppliers, and external customers.
