Purchasing Assistant & Analyst (HC)

About the role

The Purchasing Assistant & Analyst (HC) supports the APAC Procurement team in Shanghai, managing the transition of the WAVE initiative tracking tool, providing training, and acting as backup owner for direct material categories.

Key responsibilities

• Manage replacement of Procurement’s initiative tracking tool WAVE, continuously polish training material, deliver training and support initiative creation.
• Serve as APAC Procurement WAVE master user, coach internal owners, and ensure timely project status updates.
• Coordinate PU-APAC and PUR2 staff meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, action logs and follow‑ups.
• Organise Sourcing Board sessions, handle process reviews, record issues and actions.
• Plan and prioritize PU-APAC and PUR2 activities, aligning schedules with internal stakeholders.
• Arrange business travel logistics, handle expense reporting and approvals as full delegate.
• Support deck creation for REC, MBR, COO and other management meetings.
• Act as delegate for operational tasks and liaison with BHC CTG on procurement reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, PMO or data analysis.
• Strong communication skills across multiple organizational layers.
• Fluent English, open‑minded, team‑oriented and self‑starter attitude.
• Ability to learn quickly and work productively in a detail‑oriented environment.
