Project Manager – Lead Projects & Drive Business Growth

About the role

The Project Manager will lead cross‑functional teams to deliver project outcomes on time, within budget and to quality standards. The role supports the sales organization, collaborates closely with senior management in China and ensures profitable growth for Magna Steyr.

Key responsibilities

• Support the quotation process by coordinating internal resources, costing and preparing final proposals.
• Create detailed project timing plans after LOI or contract receipt and present master schedules at kick‑off meetings.
• Moderate project kick‑off meetings and maintain a comprehensive project handbook covering requirements, agreements, organization, timing, risk, issues, changes and lessons learned.
• Develop and update project cost plans in SAP on a monthly basis.
• Generate sales orders and payment plans in line with contractual agreements.
• Maintain resource planning with technical departments and adjust monthly as project needs evolve.
• Report monthly project status on progress, finance, quality and man‑hours to senior management.
• Prepare deliverables for milestone reviews according to master timing and customer requirements.
• Ensure data backup, archive project documentation and conduct lessons‑learned workshops after project completion.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in an industrial or automotive environment.
• Strong ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and communicate with senior stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; familiarity with the Chinese business context is a plus.
