Project Logistics Specialist

About the role

C.H. Robinson is looking for a Project Logistics Specialist to join its regional Project Logistics team. The role focuses on managing and coordinating project freight across truck, rail, sea, air, and barge modes, ensuring client satisfaction through on‑site collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end project logistics for all freight modes, both inbound and outbound.
• Negotiate rates, develop carrier strategies, and select appropriate carriers.
• Create billing templates and project reports for coordinators.
• Build and maintain relationships with client contacts at multiple organizational levels.
• Monitor insurance compliance, reporting, and claim settlement.
• Address critical client issues, propose solutions, and manage expectations using SOPs, KPIs, and other metrics.
• Conduct regular business reviews, leverage analytics and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
• Travel to client sites as required and comply with corporate communication and confidentiality policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 5 years of project logistics experience.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site for extended periods and travel up to 20% (or up to 100% for off‑site specialists).
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.

Required skills

• Fluency in Incoterms 2020.
