Process Support Engineer – Semiconductor Equipment

About the role

The Process Support Engineer (PSE) will guide semiconductor equipment through its full lifecycle, from concept to qualification, providing on‑site customer support, system diagnostics, and complex equipment repair. The role works closely with customers and R&D teams to develop cutting‑edge processes for advanced chip manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑visibility customer support through on‑site installations, system diagnoses, and repair of complex semiconductor equipment.
• Collaborate with customers to develop leading‑edge processes for manufacturing advanced chips.
• Create hypothesis experiments and design of experiments (DOE), analyze data statistically, and compile high‑level technical reports.
• Troubleshoot complex problems, perform root‑cause analyses, and resolve difficult process engineering and product issues.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and customers to build trust and achieve project goals.
• Serve as a resource for junior colleagues and lead small, low‑risk projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, physics, materials engineering, electrical engineering, optoelectronics or a related field.
• 4–7 years of experience in the semiconductor fab or equipment industry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English.
• Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in a related discipline.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technologies.
• Experience with Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal and Implant processes.
• Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical data analysis.
• Root‑cause analysis and complex problem‑solving.
