Principal HEPR Generalist

About the role

Medtronic, a global healthcare technology company, is looking for a Principal HEPR Generalist in Shanghai. The role covers market access and health economics and outcomes research (HE/HTA) for assigned therapeutic areas, supporting both new launches and in-line products.

Key responsibilities

• Maximise access and business for new launches and in-line products within the assigned therapeutic areas, in line with company strategy and policy.
• Understand market access policy and HE/HTA needs of different business units.
• Lead value proposition and dossier development to match market access strategies.
• Identify data gaps, evaluate research findings and develop HE/HTA plans, especially for innovative medical devices and technologies.
• Cooperate with hospitals, academic institutions, government agencies and HE experts to design and run RWE studies, MAIC analyses, cost-effectiveness and budget impact analyses, and manage projects end to end.
• Shape reimbursement value assessment and HTA policy, working with internal functions to identify external stakeholders and maintain communication.

Required profile

• 5-7 years of commercial or market access experience in pharma, medical devices or related consulting firms; public health experience preferred.
• 3-4 years in hospital RWE generation and HE/HTA projects.
• Bachelor's degree above in a healthcare or health economics discipline.
• Experience in market access planning, pricing, policy analysis, value proposition development, dossier preparation and market research.
• Leadership, collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams, and logical prioritisation and analytical skills.
