Primary School Teacher – Bilingual School in Shanghai

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to join our bilingual school in Shanghai’s Jiading district. The successful candidate will serve as a homeroom teacher, delivering a nurturing and engaging learning experience for young learners across core subjects within the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the PYP framework, integrating transdisciplinary units of inquiry.
• Prepare teaching materials, assess student learning, maintain accurate records, and write narrative reports.
• Support students in becoming independent, reflective, and internationally minded learners.
• Monitor and assess progress using formative and summative strategies, providing constructive feedback.
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers.
• Collaborate with colleagues on unit planning, curriculum development, and PYP programme growth.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and curiosity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Minimum three years of full‑time teaching experience.
• Valid teaching certificate.
• Passionate, energetic, and committed to high‑quality education.
• Excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in delivering PYP‑based instruction.
• Ability to design and implement transdisciplinary units.
• Strong classroom management and assessment techniques.

• Monthly salary of 27,000–28,000 RMB, commensurate with experience.
