Port Services Engineer

About the role

The Port Services Engineer will promote Wilhelmsen Ships Service (WSS) products, services and concepts to customers in ports and terminals. The role combines sales activities with technical support, inspections and product demonstrations to meet immediate customer needs.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously promote WSS products and services to existing and potential customers using campaigns and marketing tools.
• Initiate and maintain contact with ports, terminals, dry docks, repair yards and ship agents to identify opportunities and gather vessel arrival information.
• Visit vessels on request or based on customer priority, provide on‑site services, and conduct inspections or installations as required.
• Document each visit and service in the relevant systems, ensuring accurate reporting and follow‑up.
• Gather customer feedback, report complaints and competitor activities via Salesforce.
• Support the sales team with technical information for new orders, cylinder counts and additional services.

Required profile

• Medium vocational technical or marine training.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the marine industry.
• Proven sales experience in a maritime or port environment.
• Versatile and adaptable to varied working conditions.
